A note from Naomi Erwich – Bonim Parent Committee Member – August 2017
This year the Bonim Preschool is celebrating its 30th Anniversary! Congregation B’nai Israel opened the Bonim Preschool in 1987 to support children in their earliest years of Jewish learning and to educate parents through their child’s activities. Over the last 30 years, Bonim Preschool has grown into a comprehensive early childhood education program offering a warm and nurturing environment for children to learn. When my husband Carl and I first moved to Fairfield County and were searching for a childcare center, we were immediately struck by the sense of community we felt at Bonim. It has since become clear that we made the best decision for our children. In addition to the daily activities provided by the amazing teachers at Bonim Preschool, our children have enjoyed enrichment activities, including yoga, dance class and swim. Bonim Preschool has also provided our family with the opportunity to make Jewish life and culture an integral part of our lives. On most Saturdays, Carl, Leon, Miriam and I can be found celebrating Shabbat at Young Families Havurah with Rabbi Evan and friends. We are so thrilled to have found Bonim Preschool and are excited to spend the early years of our children’s lives with this wonderful community.
