Brotherhood/Men of Reform Judaism
“If there has ever been a time for Jewish men to stand together, to be together, to work together as men in making a difference in the society and in this movement, now is that time.”
The B’nai Israel Brotherhood provides camaraderie and fraternity and is an integral part of our synagogue community. Some of our successful programs include our weekly Brotherhood Breakfast after Shabbat morning services, Religious School barbecues courtesy of our “Pressure Cookers,” marking the first and last Sunday of the religious school year and food service for the Purim Carnival. We offer other opportunities such as Sunday movies and sponsored guest speakers. The Brotherhood contributes generously to the temple’s Religious School Scholarship Fund and many other charities, including Operation Hope, Jewish Family Services, Mazon (A Jewish Response to Hunger) and The Kennedy Center.
The Brotherhood is a wonderful place to make and maintain important friendships and to truly engage in temple life. If you would like to connect with other members of our congregation in an informal and fun way, please contact our Board representative, Jim Greenberg.
