Homes for the Brave
655 Park Avenue
Due to snow and ice, our February Mitzvah morning has been postponed to Sunday, April 23rd. We’ll be returning to Homes for the Brave to cook and serve breakfast to their residents. The female residents of the PFC Nicholas A Madaras Home will also be invited. Homes for the Brave provides housing, vocational training and job placement, mental health and addiction services, and life skills coaching to help individuals, especially Veterans, leave homelessness behind. As we had such a large turn out of B’nai Israel volunteers last year, we are revising the program so that all volunteers have a chance to interact, either in a “games” lounge, or in the dining area, or both – as we’ll have two “breakfast seatings.” We’ll meet at the Temple at 9:00 for bagels and coffee, then travel to 655 Park Avenue, where on site parking is available. Direct your registration or questions to Susan Roth at firstname.lastname@example.org. PLEASE REGISTER SO WE CAN PLAN ACCORDINGLY. Please register for April, even if you had registered for February, so that we’ll have an updated list. Thanks.
