B’nai Israel offers many opportunities for our congregants to participate in our worship services. Please sing in our choir, play in our band or read Torah during our Saturday Minyan or other holidays when Torah is read. If you have an interest in participating please contact Cantor Blum.
Our Temple Band
Our Temple Band, comprised of Adult members of our congregation, directed by Cantor Blum and conducted by our member Dr. Michael Rudolph. The band includes keyboards, electric guitars, electric bass, percussion, flute, trombone, saxophone and voice. The Band plays regularly at Friday evening services, as well as Simchat Torah. We are always looking for excellent musicians to join.
Our Junior Choir
Fifty children, grades 4-6, belong to the Junior Choir, which is directed by Cantor Blum. They delight the congregation with their singing at Friday evening Shabbat services, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Simchat Torah, Chanukah, Purim and Passover. They culminate each year with an all-day trip to Broadway.
